Since this is my first posting on this blog, I thought I’d start by taking a little adventure into the reason I created “Your Beauty Inside Out” and discuss its purpose. Hopefully, it will expand your view of beauty, increase your appetite for it, and cause you to notice and acknowledge the beauty of people and things around you. Take a good look around you. Do you notice the beauty in a baby’s giggle, the beauty in a warm sunset, the beauty in a joyful child, the beauty in an expectant mother or an excited bride. What about the beauty in a “Good morning, how are you?” Do you see beauty when someone says, “Ms., you dropped something?” Do you see beauty when your husband helps with the housework or your wife cooks your favorite meal? What about when a stranger smiles at you or the flowers kiss the dew? I see beauty all around. I see it in someone who does a nice deed unconditionally. I see it in a friend who calls just to say hello and asks, “How was your day?” I see it when the homeless and hungry are taken care of by those who love and care. I see it when an elderly woman is helped across the street and a hero saves a life. This is what inner beauty is, it is seen through these selfless acts and in so many countless ways. Do you see and possess it? These simple yet profound acts of kindness and courage make up what I call “inner beauty”, which is further accentuated by “outer beauty”. Take the time to develop your inner beauty through loving, laughing, giving, doing for others, and in so many other ways. Then, complete the package by taking time to develop your outer beauty through skin care, hair care, good nutrition, exercise, and other practices, which I will give you information on and discuss on this blog. I’m looking forward to providing you with information and resources that will help you enrich your life as you grow on your journey to becoming all you were created to be from the inside out!
